My Computer Desk

Well both kids are asleep after a day of constant puking and crying! Have been fixing my photos for ebay, not that I think that I will get a chance to list until the weekend. Thought I would post a photo of my pc desk. The cat pen holder is vintage japanese and used to be a cookie jar. The mug is from Cath Kidston. I just love my "Country Collections" diary, which also happens to be my fave Aussie magazine.
Here also is a photo of the new Robert Gordon cake shaped canister and cupcake trinket box.

Disgusting Lurgy

Next time a friends kid is sick I am leaving straight away. This horrible gastro type virus first passed to my daughter, then me and now my son. I have never washed so many sheets and blankets in my life!
My weekend was basically spent in bed so I have no new finds. Ebay cancelled the one auction of mine that was doing really well due to "Location Misrepresentation." I am in the same location I have been listing from for 6 years - Perth! Why didn't they cancel the rest of them? The same location was used!
Anyways, I thought I would list some pretty photos from a website I discovered lately. I can't find the link at the moment as my mozilla browser isn't working. Oh, hang on, I do remember. It's http://www.theshabbyattic.com/gallery/

More Shabby FuFu

I thought I would pay a visit to shabby fufu to see if they have anything new and I discovered some gorgeous things!
I am very excited as I won a set of the Enesco Prayer Ladies that I collect which was actually in Australia for a change! The only piece I really wanted was the dinner bell as the napkin holder will be my third and the salt and pepper my second set! I think I am gonna have to let some go.
I found another pink jelly mold to add to my collection, this one was in the shape of a duck!

Great Display Idea

I am always looking for creative dispaly ideas for the walls as this is the ideal spot for precious items when you have two little children and a ham fisted hubby!
This idea is from "Treasured Heirlooms" and I love the all green theme. The shutters are adorable, no idea where I would get these, maybe a hardware store?
You don't see too many houses with shutters here in Perth - ditto with that sectioned window frame. Maybe a salvage yard.
I thnk it would look gorgeous with a pretty net curtain pulled back on each side with a crystal tieback. Of course, mine would be all pink!

Divine Kitchen

This stunning kitchen has so many things I want and some I already have! It belongs to the owner of "Treasured Heirlooms" and you can visut her website by clicking on the header above.
I adore her pink enamel butlers sink and the cute cafe cutains above it. I have some pink and white net ones to put up in the kitchen but I am afraid it will push DH Jon over the edge!

Christmas is Coming!

Only two months, wow, this year has sped by!
I work for a world famous china company in a large department store. I have been drooling over all the different ornaments all the china and glass companies have brought out this year.
I got these xmas pics in an email this morning. Isn't the shabby chic living room lovely?

My Name is Peta....

...and I am an ebay-aholic. I have bought a bit TOO much over the last week although I have got some very good buys. But did I really need them? The answer is NO! But all is fair in shabby and chic and to the winner go the spoils, blah, blah! Anyway, here are some pics of SOME of my latest purchases. None of these have arrived as of yet.

Pink Cornishware

Well, I was going to post about this this morning but I had a shocking headache and couldn't stand sitting in front of the pc anymore.
I have always loved cornishware with its cheery stripes but always wished it came in pink (of course!) Now it does! Here are some pics of this lovely ware.

My Bedroom & Other Things

My vintage birdswap partner just emailed to let me know she is already shipping my parcel! I am still finding stuff for hers. Who knew that it would be so challenging finding bird stuff at the op-shops? As you know, I live in the ghetto and I suspect peeps here would be eating birds, not collecting them. But even in posher areas, nada.
This week I took my ebay photos in my bedroom for a change. I took some photos of the wall behind my bed which is a shocking pink and also one of my dressing table.
The wall is actually a mix of four different tins of paint I had left over. One is a pearl which gives the wall a very slight sheen.

Dream Things for my Feature Wall

I would love to have these two Royal Winton wall pocket vases on my pale green feature wall. Aren't they divine? I also love this Jasper Conran for Wedgwood charger. I was looking at it at work today. I wish I bought it when I worked for Wedgwood, it would have been a much better price with staff discount.

New Photos

I managed to get DH to put up this ikea shelf above the kitchen window. The three rose plates and jug are another pattern I collect, "Elegance" by Alfred Meakin circa the 1950's. It came in six different colours and is just divine!
I also found a little aqua shadow box for some of those anodised miniatures I bought. This shelf is in a corner by my sink.
DH still hasn't painted my birthday present feature wall so I will have to up the stakes with the painter I choose lol! Here is a photo of how I want him dressed :)

Flea Market Finds

I love Thursdays as both of my kids are at school all day and I get to go op-shopping to my hearts content!
I found a set of three Japanese Dragon porcelain cups and saucers which are for ebay. What I love about these cups is that when you hold them up to the light you can see an image of a geisha girl!
One of my fave things that I found today is the jade green snail from England - so cute! And the Willow Australia magazine rack is so very shabby chic - pale green stripes and roses.
It is just so lovely to go bargain hunting without my kids whining constantly about some hideous plastic piece of junk that they want. Bliss!

Collecting Roses

I collect this certain pattern of roses that appears to be a copy of a popular Royal Winton pattern. The one I collect was made in Japan and I can pick up pieces very cheaply from op-shops and swap meets. In fact, I don't think I have paid over $5 for a single piece!
Here is a photo of my collection and also a photo of the Royal Winton pattern I think this ware is a copy of.
